Crazy Ball is a small-concept minigame where you have to move the ball around onscreen and avoid colliding with walls. Alternatively you can play from the other side, where you have to crash into as many other balls as possible. The replay value is pretty limited but you can play for high scores, so that always helps.

In the game you can control your ball with either the mouse or arrow keys. I suggest sticking with the mouse though because it's much more responsive. The level scrolls down vertically as you move your ball around to avoid the walls and obstacles. As you progress the game speeds up and the background changes color. There are four powerups that randomly appear, two good and two bad. The bad ones are easy to avoid at first but the levels will start scrolling faster than the powerups, so you have to do more dodging.

Graphics are nice but I think some extra kind of detail in the backgrounds or objects would have looked cool. There's also a techno-snyth loop that plays in the background that you can either leave on or turn off. I think it fits the game's style but it was a little repetitive for me.

The addition of the defense mode was good but I'm pretty sure there's a bit of an issue with the hit testing on the smaller balls, there were several times when I slide my ball right over top of them but it didn't seem to take. This mode also accepts high scores. Most games like this only add additional modes that are direct mimics of the main mode but this was at least different enough to be entertaining.

Overall Crazy Ball is nothing too special, but deserves its place as yet another lunch break time-waster.
